Aglais is the Quip Network Testnet

Aglais runs as quip-testnet, the public test network for Quip Network. It is where developers, node operators, and researchers try things out and break them. Its token, AGLS, holds no value: it cannot be bought, sold, or redeemed, and balances can be reset at any time.

The funds are not real

Test tokens that hold no value

AGLS exists to make the test network work. Read about the network's own token in the token documentation.

AGLS is not for sale
There is no sale, no presale, and no allocation. Anyone offering to sell you AGLS is running a scam, no matter whose name or logo they use.
It holds no value
AGLS is not redeemable for anything. Any price quoted for it is fabricated.
It is not the QUIP token
QUIP is the token of the live Quip Network. AGLS is only its stand-in on the test network, and it does not convert into QUIP.
Balances are disposable
The test network can be reset, wiped, or relaunched from a new genesis at any time. Balances disappear with it and are not compensated.
Chain details

One chain, two front doors

Node operators and runtime work go through the substrate RPC; wallets and Solidity tooling go through the EVM JSON-RPC. Same chain, same balances — but the two sides do not share account formats or token precision.

Bootnodes ship inside the chain spec, so peer discovery is automatic. Start a node and the RPC above answers locally.

Add it as a custom network in any EVM wallet, over an HTTP transport rather than WebSocket. There is no pubsub or filter API, and internal transactions and the gas tracker are unavailable. Balances read one existential deposit low, so confirm exact amounts on the substrate side.

Dispenses 10 AGLS per request, rate-limited per destination. Paste an SS58 address, a 0x-prefixed AccountId, or an EVM address — the faucet funds whichever side that address belongs to.

The endpoint refuses browser calls, so run the curl from a terminal or a server. The form does the same thing through this site.

AGLS is a test token on this network only — no value, not QUIP, and gone at the next reset.
